Was wäre ein WordCamp ohne freiwillige Helfer:innen? Es fällt jede Menge Arbeit bei einem WordCamp an, die wir nur mit eurer Hilfe stemmen können. 

Dabei gibt es ganz unterschiedliche Aufgaben, sodass für jede:n etwas Passendes dabei ist – egal ob du lieber im Hintergrund arbeitest oder gern direkt an der Registrierung stehst.

Was ist das Besondere am Volunteer-Sein?

Als Volunteer kannst du dich sinnvoll einbringen und der Community helfen. Und nebenbei profitierst du auch noch davon. Neben dem kostenlosen Ticket bieten wir dir tiefe Einblicke in die Organisation eines großen Events. Du triffst alte Bekannte und lernst viele neue kennen. Mit dir sorgen wir dafür, dass das WordCamp Deutschland 2023 eine wundervolle, offene, erschwingliche und für alle zugängliche Veranstaltung wird. 

Was erwarten wir von dir?

Du stellst uns als Volunteer für maximal zwei halbe oder einen ganzen Tag deine Zeit zur Verfügung und erledigst mit dir vorab besprochene Aufgaben. Zu welchen Zeiten es für dich passt, fragen wir ab, sobald der Zeitplan mit allen Talks veröffentlicht wurde.

Du versuchst, Teilnehmer:innen während des WordCamps so gut wie möglich zu helfen. Halte dich an den Verhaltenskodex und informiere die Organizer, wenn unsere Aufmerksamkeit irgendwo erforderlich ist. 

Und vergiss nicht: Wir lassen dich mit keiner Aufgabe alleine! Unser Team steht dir bei Fragen oder Unsicherheiten jederzeit zur Verfügung. Wir sind hier, um sicherzustellen, dass deine Erfahrung als Volunteer beim WordCamp Deutschland 2023 genauso bereichernd und erfreulich ist, wie für die Teilnehmer:innen der Veranstaltung.

Bei folgenden Aufgaben kannst du mithelfen:

• Check in – Teilnehmer:innen einchecken, WordCamp-T-Shirts ausgeben und Namensschilder (Badge) verteilen. Info-Stand
• Türsteher – Orga-Raum
• Video – Unterstütze das Video-Team bei der Aufnahme der Vorträge

Was bekommst du?

Wenn du als Volunteer beim WordCamp angenommen wirst, bekommst du einen Code für eine Ticketreservierung und deine Teilnahme ist gesichert!

Außerdem:

• Du bekommst freien Eintritt zum WordCamp inkl. Verpflegung.
• Wir geben dir die Möglichkeit einen Blick hinter die Kulissen zu werfen und zu lernen, wie man eine große Veranstaltung organisiert.
• Du wirst Teil eines großen Netzwerkes und hast die Chance, die Community kennenzulernen.
• Als Neuling lernst du sofort ein paar nette Mitstreiter*innen kennen und bist direkt mittendrin im Geschehen.
• Du erhältst eine Einladung zum Social Dinner am Vorabend des WordCamps.
• Last but not least – darfst du dir unserer unendlichen Dankbarkeit sicher sein.

Call for Volunteers ‒ Volunteers needed

What would a WordCamp be without volunteers? There is a lot of work at a WordCamp that we can only manage with your help.

There are many different tasks, so there is a suitable job for everyone ‒ whether you prefer to work in the background or directly at the registration desk.

What is so special about being a volunteer?

As a volunteer, you can make a meaningful contribution and help the community. And you also benefit from it. Besides your free ticket, we offer you deep insights into the organization of a big event. You will meet old friends and get to know many new ones. With you, we ensure that WordCamp Germany 2023 will be a wonderful, open, affordable and accessible event for everyone.
What do we expect from you?
As a volunteer, you make your time available to us for a maximum of two half days or one full day and complete tasks measured with you in advance. We will ask you at what times it would suit you after the schedule with all the talks has been published.

You will try to help participants as much as possible during the WordCamp. Follow the Code of Conduct and inform the organizers if their attention is needed anywhere.

Don’t worry ‒ we will help you and are always available for questions.

You can help at the following tasks:

• Check in participants, hand out WordCamp T-shirts and distribute name badges. Info stand
• Doorkeeper – Orga room
• Video/Photography – Help support the event with photos and video footage.

What do you get?

If you are accepted as a volunteer at WordCamp, you will receive a code for a ticket reservation and your participation is guaranteed!

Furthermore:

• You get free entry to the WordCamp including food and drinks.
• We give you the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and learn how to organize a big event.
• You will be part of a large network and have the chance to get to know the WordPress Community.
• As a newcomer, you will immediately meet some nice fellow campaigners and be right in the middle of the action.
• You will receive an invitation to the Social Dinner on the eve of the WordCamp.
• Last but not least, you can be sure of our endless gratitude.
